What can we do for you?
Check-in : You can access your room from 3pm.
Early Check-in : When possible, our team will be happy to give you access to your room before 3 pm. If you wish to guarantee access to your room from 8 am, you will be required to pay 20€ extra when booking.
Check-out : The day of your departure, you will be asked to leave your room no later than 11 am.
Late check-out : When possible, our team will be happy to let you enjoy your room until 1pm on the day of your departure. To enjoy this service, you will be required to pay 20€ extra when booking.
Opening hours : Our team of receptionists are on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Therefore you will be able to check-in at the time that suits you. You can also come and go from the hotel as you please.
Wifi Connection : In your room and in the lobby area, you will have a free wifi connection with unlimited bandwidth.
Business Internet Connection : In the hotel lobby you can use a computer with free internet connection.
Luggage storage : Our luggage storage area is at your disposal for free, if you arrive before 3pm or if you wish to stroll around town for a few hours without the luggage after checking-out.
Map of the city : Maps of Brussels and its metro network are available for free at the reception desk.
Parking : Unfortunately, Train Hostel doesn't have a parking. We recommend that you park your car at the Train World parking, situated at few meters from the hotel.
Sleeping bags : You can buy (27€) or rent (10€) warm sleeping bags at the reception.
What is a hostel anyway?
Traditionally, hostels offer affordable accomodation for budget travellers. Hostels are a cheaper alternative to hotels but this is not the only reason why travellers, especially young people, have been going there for years.
Hostelling is a great way to meet other travellers and to find out more about the places you are going to visit from people who have already been there. Beyond that, as hostels gain in popularity, they are also becoming increasingly distinctive. At Train Hostel we offer dorms, private rooms, train cabins and train flats.
What do you need to check-in?
You must have an ID-card or passport. No other proof of identity will be accepted.
When is check-in/check-out ?
Reception is open for check-in until 23:00.
Late check-in is not available if you don't request it at least 2 days prior to arrival.
Late check-in after 23:00 costs € 20.00 (for rooms only).
NO CHECK-IN IN DORMS AFTER 22:45 PM (respect other guest's slumber). If wou want to chek-in after 23:00, you will be invited to get an upgrade to a train cabin or a room.
NO check-in after 01:00 AM for all other rooms.
Check-out has to be made until 11:00 AM for all rooms.
Late check-out available till 1pm for €20.00.
Late check-out after 1pm will be charged as an extra night !
If you check-in in the morning we cannot promise your room will be ready, but you can leave your stuff in the secure luggage store. Your room will be available from 3 pm.
What time does the cleaning start?
We start at 9 am. We do our very best not to disturb our guests !
When is breakfast served? Is it included?
Breakfast is served in the common room between 7 am and 10.30 am.
Breakfast is not included in the price .
Should you bring a sleeping bag or other linens?
For Train Cabins reservation only :
Please remember to bring your sleeping bag and towels to avoid extra charge.
IF you prefer, you can rent at the reception desk a sleeping bag for € 10.00/stay and towels for 2.00€/kit.
For the other rooms/dorms :
Bed linen and towels are included in the price.
Do we have lockers in the rooms?
Yes we do ! Don't forget to bring a padlock. In case you forgot yours, you can buy one for 6€ at the reception .
What can you do with all your gear after check-out?
After checking-out, you can store your luggage for free, in our luggage room. The reception is open 24 hours a day.
Do we have a curfew or lockout?
No ! We do not keep tabs on you - we just ask you to respect the other guests and to be quiet when you return to the hostel.
Can you bring children?
Yes of course. Our hostel is perfect for families. We provide baby cot upon request and availability.
Do we have wifi or internet connection?
We provide free wifi everywhere in the hostel. In addition, we have two computers available for our guests in the library.
What is our cancellation policy?
You can cancel your reservation without charge until 48 hours before the date of arrival.
After this, we reserve the right to charge the total amount of the reservation from the credit card given as guarantee.
For room bookings: All cancellation need to be send by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
No Show : In case of no-show, the Hostel keep the right to charge the room-night, exclusive vat.
We are authorized to charge the given credit card for the total amount of the reservation, any time after the confirmation.
If you need to modify your reservation, please contact us at least 2 days before your arrival. No refunds will be made.
- For any cancellation announced between 30 days and 60 days before the stay, the penalty is 50% of the contracted room rate for the duration of the stay.
- For any cancellation announced between 14 days and 30 days before the stay, the penalty is 70% of the contracted room rate for the duration of the stay.
- For any cancellation announced less than 14 days before the stay, the penalty is 100% of the contracted room rate for the duration of the stay.
Can you smoke in the hostel?
As all public areas in Belgium our Hostel is a STRICTLY non smoking area.
If you smoke into the hostel you will be charged € 150,00 fine.
Do we have a guest kitchen?
We have a fully equipped kitchen with fridge, oven, microwave, toaster, cups, plates, glasses, etc.
Do we offer a female only dorm?
We have a 9-bed female only dorm.
Where can you park your car?
We do not have a private car parking. On weekdays and Saturdays, you can buy at the reception a parking card (visitor) to park on the streets, which costs €12,00/day instead of € 24.00/day (timestamps).
Guests with disabilities?
We have a specially adapted room for people with disabilities. Please contact us directly to reserve a bed in this room.
Do we accept group booking?
Yes we do, please contact us directly at email@example.com to make a booking for more than 10 people.
Can you pay in another currency?
We accept only euros. You can pay by Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or by cash at the reception.
